Time Stood Still

By chococat_122

Today time stood still.
Lightning broke
The stark blue sky.
Rain fell in sheets.
.acid.rain. on an icy night,
Burned my satin stained skin.
Snow capped glacial spires
Fill the weathered windows to my heart.
Lurking deep within, the monster
Creeps and crawls,
Frost-burning wounds from the fire
In my insalvageable soul. Wounds once
Healed by your impossible warmth.
How can I fight the monster
That is my own soul?
