bobbing for heroes

By sIo

nerves like brick walls
and i stand like stone henge
not but the stairs of heaven
set to move me, should i stutter

within frame-less pictures
i digress if only for each
moment i have become
for i am no sandman
weaving my wings throughout
your dream catchers and
hypnotists, like fairy dust

i fade melting through this
hour glass and pinching
butterfly wings to
finger paint the star flakes
in your sky

hyper-writing because
time is end-full
you couldn't catch me
if i tried. water walking
and cider talking
shooting fish in a sterile

as i just can't find the words
to right the end i'll merely
stop here.

what Styx
hath done
you are not my Achilles
so step down and i'll finish this

on my own.

The title drew me in and I wasn`t dissapointed. "for i am no sandman weaving my wings throughout your dream catchers and hypnotists" loved these lines. What I enjoyed most was you made alot of references throughout but not a single one was forced. nice piece!
