A Blizzard's Wrath

A Blizzard's Wrath

A deathly chill and bitter cold-
Are thick within the air-
Like stories out of ages old-
They tell of bleak dispair.

The sky is white, no sun is seen-
No warmth now, for the living-
It makes for a depressing scene-
This Cold is unforgiving.

The blizzard's wrath is like a storm-
Of frozen, sharpened knives-
Like revenants without a form-
To end our mortal lives.

When the storm done and passed-
With nothing more to dread-
Silent, are our lives at last-
For every one is dead.

This piece transported me to a ice encrusted wasteland, where the air is so still it's almost as if time itself is frozen, I don't think I want a blizzard of this magnitude but a snow flurry or two wouldn't hurt, write on. Scholar

It's winter over here right now too cold to do anything, bring on the sun. it's not as cold as your write which is why I enjoyed this so much. Good stuff!
