Masquerading: within

By A Life Without You

.

The patter of footsteps drew sound from heavy bricks,

made paths to and fro

…gardens grown of innocence

Father times’ last will and testament has gone missing among Autumns leaves,

elegantly placed beneath the feet of dancing Queens.

… forever lost within the music

Unknowingly forced off the cloak of heavens burdens,

only to realize they were my own.

In this sea of slaughtered fish I will float.

No wind beneath my sail.

…nor water beneath my boat.

Taking the paint brush from your hand,

I choose to paint a new word across the sky filling the space among the birds,

"Emptiness" I shall paint,

…a lovely four letter word.

I cautiously await your question closing my eyes to the north winds.

You gaze across my face,

…the smile of a friend.

The breath of an Oceans breeze,

lost in the sound of a setting Sun.

...a barrage of broken arrows   - fired from cupids gun.

"A barrage of broken arrows shot from cupids gun," No wonder there are so many broken hearts, brilliant. This piece was a stroke of genius my friend, thank you so so much and I meant to use so twice, your eyes aren't playing tricks. Thanks again =)

Ah yes my friend GV, glad you enjoyed. We can only write for our selves for so-long. It is the pleasure that others take in our work that make it all the more meaningful, thank you again
