A Legacy Perhaps

By Musik2MyEyes

As I struggle to find
The words

Something permanent
For you

I leave you in good hands
Like an infinite appointment
My words will always be here
Waiting for you.

You can remember me.

The moon so full like the ripest fruit ripping its own skin
(A beacon for you)
The stars soft hue will continue to wink at you
(Why don't you wink back?)
The planets revolve like a phantom carousel you ride with no ticket
(May you enjoy the free things in life)
Blades of grass will stretch like arms towards the sky
(Feel whimsical and reach with them)
And the waters will course like snakes back to the open sea
(May you always find your way)
The winds will tickle your skin and carry your scent
(May it drift to the love of your life)

And like the rock I will hold steady
    Not moving without force
        Sheltered by Mother Earth
Who always loved me
And I return to her with open arms
        Giving myself freely.

The soles of your feet connect with me
And it feels good
To know

You can remember me.

One comment surprises me. This is really amazing, It might be because of how much I can relate to it right now, but this really inspires me, I'm feel like painting right now, something I have been unable to do for a while. Thank you for the great write. ~Orion
