I live only to get money, sometimes that's not enough
It is hard to get by because the times are so tough.
I sleep where I can within the confines of the city
Surrounded by the other derelicts of pain and pity.
To beg and steal as my soul drowns in strife
I'm the scourge of the streets, a real low-life.

--I inhale the mist of the serpent's hot breath
a tiny rock has brought me to the brink of death.
--I live day to day with a monkey on my back
I am a creature of habit...
                                      hooked on crack.

I worship a glass god which is kept close at hand
It talks to me always, its' ways I understand.
I know that someday they will zip me up in a sack
Because I am a creature  of  habit...
                                               hooked on crack!

That last stanza really tells you straight up, if you smoke crack you will die. Very good write, another win. Scholar
