She survives.

vengeance for fun
Sickle and lace, the sum
Come to me lover,

She is alive.
A sling-blade splatter
Ripped--gutted--tattered
Lumped flesh, no matter
She is alive.
Broken down she
weeps
Razor blades so cheap
Murder--suicide complete
What
survives?
Gut-string violins
Dark cello begins
Sing
the haunted hymns
Memories survive.
Sullen burial mound
Tombstones all around
Together underground
Nothing alive.
Chiseled black granite
Beloved husband
Loving wife
Only lies survive.
