What Survives

By Malcholm Dark

"Sweet, gentle flower
again, my mood turns ugly.
Stay with me
as I pull out the pins..."

Closed door masturbation
Dark-minded maturation
Closed-fisted domination
He is alive.

Deviant wolf mentality
Semen-stained brutality
Shattered dreams--lost morality
He is alive.

Abused and shaken
Raped flower, awaken
Route 666 taken
She survives.

Cold vengeance for fun
Sickle and lace, the sum
Come to me lover, come
She is alive.

A sling-blade splatter
Ripped--gutted--tattered
Lumped flesh, no matter
She is alive.

Broken down she weeps
Razor blades so cheap
Murder--suicide complete
What survives?

Gut-string violins
Dark cello begins
Sing the haunted hymns
Memories survive.

Sullen burial mound
Tombstones all around
Together underground
Nothing alive.

Chiseled black granite
Beloved husband
Loving wife
Only lies survive.

  • A former member wrote: A Beautiful piece, I loved the structure to it, rhyms and repitition have always a favourite of mine. The progession of the story was amazing and vicious similtaneously. "Sing the haunted hymns, memories survive" Amazing line, love the emotion behind it through music. Great piece, Write on.

That was diabolical! I really like how as it progressed it got even more evil, all the way to the grave. Thanks for sharing that dark stroke. Scholar
