Wondering Wanderment

By Berry Fantastic

In wondering wanderment
I sink to the skin
And think of the nonsense
That is and has been

I plunge to the surface
And dive to the sky
All questions are answered
Who what where and why

I breathe an oasis
And life springs from me
Only to wither
Like the drone bumblebee

I flitter I flutter
I flicker with light
And all through the day
Make love with the night

I wither I wander
I sink and I pray
The oasis has found me
And night turns to day

Sunstreaks and moonbeams
And twinkling stars
Blast from the heavens
To dance free on Mars

Jupiter, Neptune
And Mercury, too
I wither I wander
And so think, do you?

Dance on my tiptoes
And sing from my knees
I wither I wander
And so think, do these?

Crystalline canopy
Mountain top where
I wither I wander
And thus flutter there
