Inferno

By Rowan

Shadows dance as voices call,
Grant attention to the ones who fall,
Silencing whispers of dark depression,
Screaming woes of angry aggression.

Believe what you will, your time will not last,
For I know the secrets of lives long past.
Truth of lies, innocence is gone.
Faith to doubt, right to wrong.

Darkness develops souls unborn,
Receiving the hands of sorrow and forlorn.
Your chance has passed; your choices were vile.
Soul full of hatred, personality hostile.

Demons flit about within your heart of ice.
You are here because of your own device.
Can you hear the wails and feel the flames?
Bound by sins you have been chained.

Fallen Angels reside over your prison of ember,
Tortured by what you must remember.
Your soul you did decide to sell,
So by our pact, I say...welcome to Hell.

I was inspired by Dante's the Inferno and the legend of Dr. Faustus. Enjoy!

For some reason the first visuals that came to my mind were of robot hell from futurama. As for your visuals think the rhythm and rhyme were creative and well used. Nicely done :)

Excellent flow throughout and I like what seemed like the re-telling of an internal journey, like writing from the other side from experience. I think "sale" at the end should be "sell". Much enjoyed, welcome to DP :)
