The Inaffectionate :

The Inaffectionate :

I took the chance again

Stopped the car

Walked empty

Made my way
to the center of you

Penetrated by anxious
forlorned interpretations

Your Beauty

Tranquil obsession

Taken
by the vivacity
and contentment
of my daytime
envisionment

Of what could be

Was it

Because you had a bad childhood ?

Or you've been  hurt before ?

Did they prey
on your every  feeling ?

Take advantage
of your compassionate soul ?

Or was it the loss of GoD
that encased you in this hard shell ?

Protecting your every emotion

The place you like to hide

Aspirations of being the prey

Won't you let me love you
If only for the nite

I penetrated your barrier

If only for a glimpse

You felt me
and I felt you

We collapsed in the exhaustion
of heart spilled remnants

I saw it in your eyes

The surprise

As I reminisce

You left me  in this
heart stained
corner cowering

A fine heart-felt piece. Well crafted, as is all your work... 'we collapsed in the exhaustion of heart spilled emenants'... A perfect, beautiful line. Thanks.

Sounds like a brief glimpse into wonderful followed by confusion on why it couldn't last. Must have been pretty profound. An interesting journey, thank you for sharing :)
