The Melding

By Malcholm Dark

The  Mind...

Hear the thrusting like thunder
A fire-wind of thought, the coming storm
Feel the flaming rape of logic
Insanity's seduction is at hand.

Twisted are they who fornicate the storm
the seed of iniquity is forged
A tainted sky runs red from within
The ideals of a madman are born!

The Heart...

There is no love from within
Nor, the glitter of compassion
Only shafts of ice and crystalline
This, the house of pain.

A malodorous iceberg powered by cruelty
Unleashes that seething ooze
Blackened water this river Styx
Rush throughout the body so cold!

The Soul...

Hear the echoes, the dripping echoes
Hear black water slip from the roof
A rippled pool a sadism spews forth
The flow of hatred, a wave of evil.

Corridors of malaise run endless
A specter looms just ahead
What was good has been vanquished
Terror now reigns within the abyss!

The Eyes...

Windows unto madness
Reflections of agony
Pools of pure deception
That prey upon the weak.

These black orbits of search
Relentless in their pursuit
Only magnify such pleasures
As they assess unspeakable deeds!

The Hands...

The true extensions of the mind
Reach out unbridled and unforgiving
Tread not these deadly vipers
For they shall strike at a moments notice.

A ten fingered vice, driven so
By blind fury and unnatural strength
Yet, precise and gentle when need be
These hands, so many lives have passed before them!

The Mind...
The Heart...
The Soul...
The Eyes...
The Hands...

All melded as one like the metal in a fine sword
Behold the psychopath!!!

Very powerful breakdown of the psychopathic creature with even more powerful imagery! The phrasing of the eyes evokes a profoundly disturbing image of madness. I love it!

"Feel the flaming rape of logic" Brutally horrific, painfully beautiful. "Hear black water slip from the roof". I will have to re-visit this poem. Very well conceived, our extensions of self. And beyond. Cheers.

"A tainted sky runs red from within".. A mind bleeding image in comparison with a fiery smokey polluted sky..such as the mind."Nor, the glitter of compassion" ..I liked how it is attributed to a shine..And the blackness of the rivers the course through your veins..stream..Sometimes i feel cold blooded..nocturnal haha.. Dripping echoes..loom !.. The orbiting preying eyes relentless. And I love the way the black is magnified..and the hand .extenders of your own will..the crusher of hearts,,souls..all body parts intertwined to form a machine .. Soft and steel like at the same time..a worthwhile reflection of the body..or in the case psychopath well done!

Striking and Mind-reeling! I admire how you have divided your stanzas into individual topics, and tied them all together at the end! Well Rendered and Truly Fascinating! And Thank you for Commendation on my work!

  • A former member wrote: i started by thinking to myself "this line is awesome!" ....but then i said this all the way through. so, the entire work is awesome! the visuals are superb! Thanks for the insight into the Psychopath!

  • A former member wrote: I like this unique form of describing a psycopath, I have never seen someone doing it in this such way and I find that it very much compliments you as a writer. I don't feel that Nice work, thank you for this is very constructive...but how can I be constructive on this work is flows well and the feeling is great. The only part I would critizise is The Soul A specture looms just ahead. It seems a little more empty and you fall away from the grip of the poem.maybe if you added a word of description to the specture. I love the work either way and do with it what you will. I hope to read more from you in the near future.
