Our Midnight Wedding

By melodies revisited

White doves sing
And the midnight moon
Sillouettes them in light
Cascading down shadows
As I smile without end
The dress I wear matches them
The doves let loose now
We are one, a union of souls
One that cannot be broken

I smile and laugh and try
Not to cry my tears of joy
As you wipe one away
I know it's alright to say
That you are mine
You have been from day one
You are the love of my life, I know
We are one, a union of souls
One that cannot be broken

We run from the priest now
Your hand holding mine
Which is clutching back with love
As we race away, I almost trip
In my flowing gown I feel pretty
Beyond words worth saying
As the moon begins to set
We are one, a union of souls
One that cannot be broken

It is the morning that I love
Watching the sun rise with you
After out midnight wedding
I welcome the "boring" morning
Everything is new again as I smile
From ear to ear and you do, too
We are filled with tried and true love
We are one, a union of souls
One that cannot be broken

We are one...
A union of souls...
One that cannot be broken...

The words resound in my head
As I wake from my prophetic dream

And I smile at the thought...

Of our midnight wedding.
