Winter Aura

By ubiquitoussoul

Sharp shimmering streak of white,
gleams,
cascading down the bleak stroke of her ebony taut hair ,
trickling and breaking,
as bright sparks in a symphony of dying fire,
the flare violently whirling into its ashen knees,
shriveled from its effloresce steeple,
It's luminous embers swimming,
through the arctic cloud quilted northern sky's of December,

Nimbly flowing deep inside floe a still drapery weaved ,
from a winter waterfall,
trapped in its chest a silent, rapid, Polaris flash of,
frost crystalline reflection,
lost against the jagged back splash of eternities endless wall,
under the obsidian cloak of a sleeping concave moon;

Manic as the swift descending ripple and soft clapping
of an open book left to flutter, crippled, hooked in the cold choke-hold of the whispering dyslexic wind,
running its pass tickling the pasture's numb fingers, crushing the timber's weeping limbs,
waking the earth's unshaken forests,
shedding frozen tear's from their naked boughs
only to continue in linger awaiting this year's rebirth,
in their snow kiss bow.

my only logistic questions would by why you compared something "ebony" to "chalk" . . . since ebony means black.. was it a typo or did you mean black chalk? either way, It fascinating. Wherever this winter was that inspired you i envy its beauty and i liked this rhythm. It reminded me of a river. Free flowing with a few rapids.

Such elegant imagery. You've painted a picture with words. I personally adore the winter season. Everything..not dead, but merely in a slumber waiting to be reborn in the warm spring. Lovely as always, Soul

This is an orgasmic image orgy! I was pretty skeptical at first, since most poets gloriously murder the Decemberistic images common for poetry, but your rendition was definitely something I haven't seen before. I do have one thing I can provide as some help though: Try not to submit so many poems in sucession...people will be less likely to view them. Space them apart to conserve credits, and get more feedback and acclaim. Thanks for writing.
