Punch You In The Face

By Huey Lewis

The things that I need
I already had
Threw them away
In a garbage can

All that I want
Will I have to steal?
Try to remember
None of it's real

Kept in a casket
Things never lasted
Rain came along
Grew something tragic

It's not quite standard
I have something to hand her
Just a bit of light
Given off by a lantern

When I lay my lies
Let you decide
When I lay beside
I lay my lies.

I love the flow and the way it twists and turns. Wonderfully done.
