IN THE CHAMBER OF DREAMS

By lovechild

INHALE
EXHALE
SHARP SHARDS OF ICE
PIERCE MY THIN CHEST
LIKE THE THRUST OF A KNIFE
REWIND
REPLAY
MACABRE SCENES
COME TO ME NIGHTLY
IN THE CHAMBER OF DREAMS

stretched out on the rack screwed in by my thumbs
mind gripping fear ripping screams from my lungs

A VISION
A SPECTRE
A FACE THROUGH THE GLASS
I STARE WILD-EYED
AS THE FIEND SHUFFLES PAST

faint sound of cruel laughter drip-dripping of a leaky spout
in agony i hear my weak voice plea; please let me out
begging for mercy. here there is none
i babble confessions to things i have not done
i give them my loved ones my leaders my peers
with my head thrashing madly

my pillow is damp with sweat or tears

I WAKE
SUN RISING
OBLITERATE THE SCENE

and forlorn i lie in yearning for the lost chamber of dreams

This reminds me of Manson for some reason. Anyways, it was a pretty dark portrait, worded rather well. The capital letters were... interesting. *tips hat*
