mommys little actress

By SourInnocence

Mommy’s little actress, don’t let them see you cry.
Put on that smile, even though tears stream from those eyes.
But mommy will wipe them away and nudge you out the door,
Red-faced, and gasping, with a plastic smile.
And when someone asks you what’s wrong you just flash those pearly whites, and say nothing.
But they know and as they look at you they hear you scream for help through those glistening eyes and the shaky smile.
You go home at the end of the day and mommy pretends to love you, and daddy pretends he loves mommy. And you pretend you love them both.

this is so painfully beautiful. all things end up working out in the end.
