What am I, to you?

By Lylani

As you stoke my satin hair
remember you caress my dreams
please don't pull the tangles
to unravel the nightmares within

Kiss me softly
with lips that only lovers feel
Run your fingers over the curve of my waist
pull me into your gentle passion
don't drown me in depravity

For when you hold me close
i breath you in
inhaling false hope
exhaling desperation

look me in the eye
tell me what you see
do you see me
or just what you want me to be

Do you see the lies I paint on my face
With that killer smile?
Then look harder
See those mascara tears
Spilled for all those times you forgot I love you
