Opium Dreams?

By zanewill

sweat-soaked
sun screams
opium dreams
nothing is as it seems
"the queen is in the quarry
counting out her bones"
the drums continue
the tides have turned
to stone
skeletal remains of
forgotten yester-
years
manifesting
clumpy
yellow nameless fears
time rears it's
eternal
nothing-
ness
in twisted guises
designed to
taunt & torture
human souls
