Ocean floors, whores, and more.

By LadyMalice

I wanted to drown,
so we could watch the sky
from the sandy bottoms of the ocean,
and other places your mother
told us not to go.

Our lungs will fill with
saltwater and sea urchins,
puncturing holes to enclose
jelly fish and other hungry creatures
looking for a place to fuck.

When they found us,
we would be shells;
blue and empty,
with star fish clinging to our skin
hoping for the brighter tomorrow
we promised to ourselves
as children.

Askance for second-chances while dreaming? I think we've all felt this way at some point. Nice work.

This reads like some dark, forbidden romance that trancends life. I loved it.
