Please, o Please

By Adam

I started a new English class today and the teacher held up a tennis ball and told us to write about the ball, she also mentioned that she bought it for her dog... it actually said "pet shop" on the other side it. so this is what i wrote, no edits, we had 8 min.

As I sit Wagging my tail
Just thinking about it makes me wail
Yellow, White, Full of fun
Makes me want to go for a run
Panting, chasing, bring it back
God I hope my owner buys a pack!
Racket, net, over a wall
Please, o Please just gimme the ball!

  • A former member wrote: This is very good. When I read your intro, I thought of how I would write it, and I placed myself into the position of the tennis ball. So when I read the story from the canine point of view I was a bit tickled! Nice work...

Thanks, it was a quick assignment and I was the only one that did something creative compared to writing about how yellow the f-ing thing was, so I was proud :) Scholar
