Meditations Of A Hope

By Muse

Gasoline-tinted bubbles,
Like snowglobes to forgotton worlds in a dreamer's eye
A twinkle of sunbursts flash by with each slow turn

Is this a dream?
A helpless levitation of fantasies turned solid? Pushed down by unknown hands, buoyed up by a lover's breath?

Gravitation, Rotation...
Wrapped among a peace ridden silence aside hushed antiques...almost as though each sphere was a memory in itself...The filmy surface splashed with the gentle scent of soap

Is all to be lost?
Here, in a room of aged toys and dust of spun gold?

A simple wrong touch results in an offended 'pop', the cherished moment lost only to leave behind the rank taste of sorrow mingled with the bitterness of regret.

Hope as precious as a child blowing through a plastic ring only to find the burst of reality. Fantastic! Nice to see you semi-active again.

Gasoline-tinted bubbles indeed. Brilliant. I love the imagery here. I can taste it.
