I like to write as the mood strikes me. A song, a thought, a feeling after experiencing something difficult, and so on will sometimes just make me feel I must get it down on paper (or computer). I try to work on it as soon as an idea hits and then leave it alone. I don't like editing, trying to structure it with meter and rhyme. I think putting too many rules, overediting, etc. takes away from the beauty of raw emotion and simplicity of thought. I don't know if I would call this poetry but I love what I do. I hope other people out there will like it, too. Oh, and PLEASE comment on my work, good or bad. It's how we grow....
