Hello DarkPoets,

with Black Friday (I mean... Thanksgiving) around the corner, I just thought it would be appropriate to host a contest to commemorate such a chaotic annual event.

Unfortunately, it seems people care more about Black Friday than Thanksgiving, yet, when they are all gathered for that full-spread buffet, they act "civilized" and with "unity." Well, I'm tired of seeing people posting on social media their food and what they're "thankful" for, only for them to be shoving and pushing each other an hour later trying to get a decent deal on electronics and other stuff.

For this contest, I want you to write a poem stating what you're NOT thankful for on that day. It can be about Thanksgiving, Black Friday, family you cut out of your life, etc. as long as it relates to Thanksgiving and/or Black Friday. Here are the rules:

1.) The poem has to be a new poem. It cannot be one you have already posted.

2.) It must be describe what you're ungrateful for or people's behavior that day.

3.) It can be any style, format and length you want it to be. Although, longer poems are preferred for this contest.

If you have any questions about the contest or you're unsure if what you want to submit is valid or not, feel free to send me a message and I'll get back to you as soon as possible. Have fun and good luck fellow poets!
